Australian Charity Aid (ACA) is a non-profit organisation that alleviates poverty and suffering by empowering disadvantaged Egyptian communities to be self-reliant and economically sustainable.

The majority of our work is based in Sohag, an impoverished province in Egypt half way between Cairo and Aswan.

Philosophy

ACA’s development philosophy is to alleviate poverty in Upper Egypt, by working with all levels of disadvantaged communities providing them with long-term development projects that assist them in living better life. ACA strongly believes that by providing people with the skills, resources and training required, this will enables them to move towards self-sufficiency.
